How to get the best price on perfume in the UK

Compare on price per millilitre rather than bottle price. A 100ml bottle is very often cheaper per spray than the 50ml of the same fragrance, even when the headline price looks higher.

Set a price alert instead of buying at full price. Fragrance discounting is seasonal, and the same bottle regularly moves by a wide margin between retailers within a few weeks.

Check the concentration. Eau de parfum holds more oil than eau de toilette, so two listings with the same name and size can be entirely different products at different prices.

Watch delivery thresholds. Adding a small second item to clear free delivery often beats paying postage on the single cheapest bottle.

No. Prices are the retailer's own listed price in pounds, excluding delivery. Delivery thresholds differ by store, so check the basket total before paying — a slightly higher bottle price with free delivery can still work out cheaper.

Why does the same perfume cost so much more at one shop?
